How mobile column lifts work

A mobile column lift uses a set of independent, wheel-engaging columns that raise a vehicle in unison — no fixed posts, no anchoring, and the freedom to lift anywhere with a solid floor. They're the standard for fleets servicing trucks, buses, RVs, and other large vehicles.

Capacity per column & set size

Capacity is rated per column, and columns work in matched sets. The CLMM-5000 handles 5,000 lb per column; the CLHM-125XF (12,500 lb), CLHM-140 (14,000 lb), and CLHM-190 (19,000 lb) cover heavier fleets. A set of four 19K columns lifts a 76,000 lb vehicle. Choose 4-, 6-, or 8-column sets based on axle count and vehicle weight.

Wireless & battery-powered

Modern mobile columns are wireless and battery-powered, so there are no cables to trip over and columns can be positioned independently. A control column coordinates the set.

Who they're for

Mobile column lifts suit truck and bus fleets, municipalities, and any shop that services vehicles too large or heavy for a fixed lift. For lighter vehicles, see our 4-post lifts or all car lifts. We deliver, set up, and train your team.

Frequently asked questions

How much weight can mobile column lifts handle?
Capacity is rated per column and columns work in sets. A four-column set of 19,000 lb columns lifts up to 76,000 lb. Choose the per-column rating and set size (4, 6, or 8) to match your vehicles.
Do mobile column lifts need to be anchored?
No — mobile columns are free-standing and roll into position on a solid, level floor, which is what makes them so flexible for fleet work.
Are mobile column lifts wireless?
Yes, modern sets like the Challenger CLHM series are wireless and battery-powered, so columns position independently with no trip hazards and a control column runs the set.
Can I buy fewer than four columns?
Columns are sold in matched sets (4, 6, or 8) because they must lift in sync. Tell us your vehicle weight and axle count and we'll size the set.
Do you deliver and train on mobile column lifts?
Yes — we handle delivery, setup, and operator training, and 0% financing is available on full sets.
