Warranty
Warranty
Every lift we sell comes with the manufacturer’s warranty. We help you exercise it.
Manufacturer warranty
Each manufacturer publishes their own warranty terms, which are included in the install manual we send with every lift order. Coverage varies by component:
- Structural components (columns, arms, runways): typically 5 years to lifetime
- Hydraulic components (cylinders, hoses, pump): typically 2-3 years
- Electrical components (motors, controls): typically 1-2 years
- Wear items (cables, locks, footpads): typically 1 year or excluded
Specific terms for each lift are in the install manual. We can also email them to you on request.
Our 1-year service overlay
If we install your lift directly (Iowa, Florida, Minnesota) or if you bought via Install Coordination, the first year of service inspections is included. We come back, inspect the lift per ANSI/ALI standards, document everything, and send you the report. Catches problems early, satisfies your insurance/inspection requirements, and validates your manufacturer warranty.
If you self-installed, the manufacturer warranty still applies but service inspections are not included.
How to file a warranty claim
If something fails on your lift:
- Stop using the lift. Don’t try to lift weight on a damaged lift — you risk injury and additional damage.
- Take photos / videos of the failed component and the lift overall.
- Contact us at 800-674-9302 or [email protected]. Tell us your lift model, serial number (on the data plate), date of install, and what happened.
- We file the warranty claim with the manufacturer on your behalf and coordinate the part replacement.
Most warranty issues are resolved with a replacement part shipped at no charge. Labor for the replacement may be covered by us (if we installed or you have ongoing service) or by the manufacturer (if applicable per their terms) or by you (if neither applies).
What voids a warranty
- Modifying the lift (cutting, welding, drilling beyond manufacturer spec)
- Using the lift beyond its rated capacity
- Skipping required inspections (most manufacturers require annual ALI inspections)
- Lifting incorrectly (off-center loads, lifting at wrong points, raising one side without the other)
- Self-installing incorrectly (anchors not torqued to spec, level out of tolerance, wiring incorrect)
This is why the install matters. Bad installs cause warranty denials.
