Scissor & Mid-Rise Lifts

Scissor & Mid-Rise Lifts

Scissor and mid-rise lifts are the drive-on answer when you need to get a vehicle up fast for brake, tire, suspension, and undercar work — without giving up the floor space or overhead clearance a two-post or four-post demands. There's no overhead beam and no swing arms to set; you drive on, lift, and work.

The trade-off to know up front: these are not walk-under lifts. Mid-rise lifts top out around 22–53 inches, which is perfect for sitting on a stool doing brakes and tires, but if you need to stand under the vehicle for exhaust or transmission work, you want a two-post or four-post instead. Tell us what you're working on and we'll point you to the right one — that's what the Fit Check is for.

The scissor & mid-rise lifts we carry

Hobbyist / home garage — Challenger MR6 (6,000 lb, portable). A rolling mid-rise with a built-in tow dolly and no anchoring required. Runs on standard 110V household power. Built for brake, tire, and wheel work in a home garage — rolls out of the way and stores against the wall when you're done. Hobbyist-rated, not for daily commercial use.

Express service shop — Challenger SRM10 (10,000 lb mid-rise scissor). Built for high-volume bays doing brakes, tires, and express oil changes. 22 inches of rise in about 75 seconds for fast turnover, a manual mechanical safety lock (no shop air required), and a flush-mount option if you want it level with the floor. Needs 4" / 3,500 PSI concrete and 208–230V.

Quick-lube / oil-change — Blazer 9000 (lube-pit scissor). A drive-on lube-pit lift that surface-mounts with included ramps or drops into an existing pit. Sized for the in-and-out throughput a quick-lube bay lives on; 9,000 lb capacity, 208–230V.

Alignment shops — Challenger SX14 (14,000 lb alignment scissor) & Rotary X14 (14,000 lb scissor). The SX14 is dealer-grade and arrives fully bundled — two rolling jacks, stainless turn plates, slip plates, and LED lighting all included — for daily 2- and 4-wheel alignments. The Rotary X14 is the open-front/open-rear drive-on option when you want fast service flow without alignment plates. (Doing alignments? See our alignment lifts page for the full lineup.)

How to choose

  • What's the heaviest vehicle you'll lift? 6K covers cars and light trucks; 10K covers most shop work; 14K covers full-size trucks and alignment work.
  • Home or commercial? The MR6 is hobbyist-rated and runs on 110V. The SRM10, Blazer, SX14, and X14 are commercial-duty and need 208–230V.
  • Do you need alignment plates? If yes, the SX14 is purpose-built. If you just need to lift, the SRM10 or X14 cost less.
  • Surface or flush mount? Most install on the surface; the SRM10 and SX14 offer recessed/flush kits if you want a clean floor.

Every one of these needs the right concrete and power, and most are ALI-certified — we confirm all of that before you buy.

Buying from Auto Lift Services

We don't just ship a lift and wish you luck. Every sale starts with a free Fit Check — we verify your concrete thickness/PSI, ceiling height, electrical, and the vehicles you actually service, so the lift fits your bay the first time. Install coordination is available on a deposit basis. And because we install and service these lifts every day, we stock the wear parts to keep them running.
